The NBA announced Tuesday that Raptors forward Amir Johnson has been suspended one game without pay for his meltdown during a Monday loss to the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden.
Johnson was ejected after he tussled with referee David Jones over control of the basketball during free throw attempts and then threw his mouthguard, hitting Jones, as he was escorted off of the court while arguing the turn of events.
After the game, Johnson apologized for his actions and said he would accept the consequences from the league's office. He also said the incident was "childish."
Full details, video and quotes from Johnson here.
