Final: Phoenix Suns 114, Portland Trail Blazers 87

The Phoenix Suns defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 114-87, at the US Airways Center on Wednesday night.

The Phoenix Suns defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 114-87, at the US Airways Center on Wednesday night, dropping Portland's record to 5-6 on the season.

The Blazers were led by rookie point guard Damian Lillard, who finished with 24 points, three assists, one steal and shot 7-for-13 in 35 minutes. Lillard committed a team-high six turnovers.

All five Blazers starters -- including rookie center Meyers Leonard, making his first career start -- finished in double figures. Nicolas Batum, who reportedly was ill, finished with 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting; LaMarcus Aldridge had 12 points on 5-for-15 shooting; Wesley Matthews had 13 points on 4-for-11 shooting; and Leonard had 12 points on 6-for-9 shooting. J.J. Hickson did not play because of a shoulder injury.

The Suns were led by center Marcin Gortat, who finished with 22 points and seven rebounds on 11-for-14 shooting in 30 minutes. Markieff Morris added 19 points nad seven rebounds. Goran Dragic finished with 15 points, eight assists, two rebounds and three steals. Jermaine O'Neal had 17 points and five rebounds in 19 minutes off of Phoenix's bench.

Phoenix shot 59.7 percent as a team and finished with 54 points in the paint. The Blazers committed 22 turnovers, surrendering 27 points off of them.
