Yep, you're reading that right! The Blazers fly to Florida and beat two Finals contenders on back to back nights, pummeling the Miami Heat into their 5th straight loss.
There were so many heroes tonight. Let's start with Crash Wallace, 22 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and a block off the bench, inspiring the team all night. LaMarcus Aldridge added a ho-hum 26 points on national TV. Andre Miller scored 14 points, with 5 assists, one very memorable steal late in the game, and a memorable postgame quote (why are the Heat losing? "That's for them to figure out. We did our job."). Brandon Roy scored 14, including 11 in the first half. The Miami Heat were led by a couple guys, but they lost.
Portland's ongoing 7-game road win streak is its longest since March 20-April 10, 1991 (9) and 3rd-longest in franchise history (8, Nov. 3-Dec. 8, 1990). (thanks AGDuck)
There's no doubt this was a win we'll enjoy reminiscing about later. So hang out here, and bask in the glow of sending an unhappy Miami Heat team into the locker room to ponder their greatness, or lack thereof.
Box score is here, and you know you have to stay tuned for Dave's recap, right? -- Tim
