Gameday Open Thread: Rockets vs. Blazers

New, comments

Hey everyone! A quick note before game time...

In case you missed Dave's post overnight, we're reaching the deadline for donations to the annual Blazersedge Night at the Rose Garden. It's very easy to donate, Dave has all the details here! As a result, BE'dgers will be sending lots of underprivileged kids to see the Blazers whomp the team formerly known as the Sonics. This has become the biggest site event of the year, and previous events have led to memorable stories:

Now onto your regularly scheduled Gameday Thread! Could this be a bounce-back game? Tonight, the 30-31 Houston Rockets visit the Rose Garden to play the 33-26 Portland Trail Blazers (Media notes). At one game under .500, Houston is in last place in their insanely tough division. Meanwhile, the new-look Blazers have actually practiced together as a team, which is always a good thing.

Injury report: Rudy Fernandez was sent home for flu-like symptoms for the second day, and is doubtful tonight.

Tip-off: 7:10pm
Watch: CSNNW (Portland), NBA League Pass (Subscription)
Listen: 95.5 FM The Game (Portland), NBA Audio League Pass (Free)

The usual rules apply:

  1. No swearing
  2. No pictures
  3. No discussion of Internet streams not provided by the NBA
