Bonnell: No Buyout For Joel Przybilla

133
Rick Bonnell of NewsObserver.com reports that former Portland Trail Blazers center Joel Przybilla will not be bought out by the Charlotte Bobcats... -------------------- Przybilla thought he was just being thrown into the deal for Gerald Wallace because of his expiring contract. Silas convinced him he'll play plenty as the backup to Kwame Brown; that's he's wanted and needed. "When I first saw him, walking down the hall, I said, 'How are you doing?' He said, 'Ah, I'm doing...' '' Silas described. "I said you're going to be all right and then we sat down and had a long talk. "I said how good he could make our ball club, how good it could be for him. If he wants to play another year or whatever, I really think he will be able to, because people are going to see a lot different, as they've seen in some other players who have played here.'' -------------------- Przybilla's fellow former Blazers big man Sean Marks might reportedly be bought out by the Bobcats. Both were moved to Charlotte along with forward Dante Cunningham in the trade that brought Gerald Wallace to Portland. Update: Bonnell reports on Saturday night that Marks, in fact, will not be waived immediately! -------------------- The Charlotte Bobcats might not waive Sean Marks immediately, after all. Since they're already paying him, they might keep him around until they know how much Joel Przybilla's knee can take. -------------------- h/t @CBirnbachKATU -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
