Within 48 hours, two major Northwest Division rivals of the Portland Trail Blazers have shipped their franchise players to the Eastern Conference. On Monday, news broke that the Denver Nuggets were finally trading All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks. Wednesday morning, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Utah Jazz are shipping All-Star point guard Deron Williams to the New Jersey Nets... ------------------------- Utah has agreed to trade All-Star point guard Deron Williams to Nets in multi-player package, Yahoo! Sports has learned. Deal is done. Derrick Favors will go to Jazz with Devin Harris, two first-round picks. The Nets will send $3 million to the Jazz also, a source said, as part of the Deron Williams trade. In a separate deal, the Nets will also receive Dan Gadzuric and Brandan Wright from Golden State, with Troy Murphy on the way to Warriors, source said. ------------------------- John Schuhmann of NBA.com reports... ------------------------- Nets are sending their own 2011 first round pick & the (2012 top-7 protected first round) Golden State Warriors pick to Utah, which were their two best. ------------------------- Marc Stein reports... ------------------------- Under current NBA rules, D-Will isn't eligible to sign an extension w/Nets until July 9.
