Amick: Former Blazers C Jeff Pendergraph To Sign With Pacers
Sam Amick of SI.com reports that former Portland Trail Blazers big man Jeff Pendergraph "is expected to sign a two-year, guaranteed deal" with the Indiana Pacers.
Pendergraph, a second round selection in the 2009 draft, reunites with his former GM Kevin Pritchard, who now works in Indiana's front office as the Director of Player Personnel. Pendergraph, 24, missed all of the 2010-2011 after suffering a season-ending knee injury during the preseason. Former Blazers GM Rich Cho waived him to free up a roster spot following the injury which ultimately to the Sean Marks Era, a few months that none of us will soon forget.
Pendergraph had his name come up in rumors with regard to a potential return to the Blazers over the past few weeks, as Portland continues to look to add a frontcourt piece.
