All summer long people have been speculating about the Blazers acquiring Chris Paul. Before the whole Cleveland-Miami brouhaha some were even hoping for LeBron James. Now Carmelo Anthony is making news for requesting a trade and no doubt some will dream of snagging him. It's an unusual summer as huge names are being tossed about and sometimes even moving, so maybe some of this talk is on more solid footing this year than usual. At the same time one can't help but notice that the speculation always revolves around the home team getting a superstar steal, not the other way around.
I thought it might be fun to put the shoe on the other foot today. The question is simple: Would you consider trading any of the following three players? If so, what conditions and return would make you move them?
- Brandon Roy
- Greg Oden
- Nicolas Batum
Give us your analysis and potential scenarios below. Could another team get a superstar steal off of Portland? Can you even think of a deal you'd call equitable for any of these guys?
