Report: Blazers To Interview Oklahoma City's Rich Cho

Sean Meagher tweets... --------------- According to Kenny Vance of 95.5 The Game, Blazers prez Larry Miller will interview OKC asst. GM Rich Cho --------------- Back in March, Cho's name came up as a possible replacement for Tom Penn. Henry Abbott recently mentioned this Ian Thomsen discussion of Cho on TrueHoop. Here's an old q and a with Cho in which he discusses his salary cap work and other topics back when the Sonics were still the Sonics. Cho is an interesting name here because he represents a lot of the same things Kevin Pritchard did: youth, fiscally-responsible roster management, Moneyball-style approach, good communication skills and an endless work ethic. The prospective candidacy of Cho, who has never captained his own ship and currently assists the youngest GM in the league, would seem to run contrary to Blazers President Larry Miller's stated goal of adding a more experienced hand to the front office. Whether this reported interview represents the due diligence of a thorough search process or if it's another sign of a confused, scrambling path forward (it's been nearly 3 weeks since Kevin Pritchard's firing was abruptly announced without an offer being made known publicly and no clear hiring timeline established) is up for debate. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
