Brandon Roy Won't Travel On Blazers' Next Road Trip

81

Portland Trail Blazers President Larry Miller told Mike Barrett, Mike Rice and Brian Wheeler on Blazers Courtside that guard Brandon Roy will not travel with the team on its next road trip. "I think he's going to continue to rest and try to get better," Miller said. "The more he rests, the better he feels and hopefully he eventually gets back to being 100% and being healthy." Later in the program, Blazers GM Rich Cho echoed that news, saying, "We have to be patient. Brandon is going to take another week off, he's not going to go on this road trip to Golden State, Utah and Denver. We have to be patient." The Blazers play the Warriors in Golden State on Saturday, the Jazz in Utah on Monday and the Nuggets in Denver on Tuesday. Roy was shut down on Dec. 17 with a "sore left knee," and was said at the time to be out for a week before he would be re-evaluated. After this upcoming trip, the Blazers next play at home on Dec. 30 against the Jazz. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
