When I look into your eyes, I know that it's true...

Don't worry... we won't start doing a ton of posts like this but any time a picture as precious as this one gets used as part of a multi-platform, multi-million dollar ad campaign... well, sign me up.

I guess we now know Brandon's secret for getting to the basket so effortlessly.

This picture is courtesy of Nike's SPARQ "My Better" campaign. I'm not sure exactly what that is, or exactly what "My better is better than your better" means, but I do think Nike should contract with a web design company whose motto is "My server is a better server than your server" because I've been struggling for the last 2 and 1/2 hours to get these files to load and link properly from their website.

Nevertheless, Nike has brought together various big-name athletes, including LaDanian Tomlinson, Kevin Durant and our own Brandon Roy, to discuss their regimens and techniques on a new website.

Check out the Nike SPARQ site, which has a pretty long video of Brandon and more pictures like the one above, here. To read more about the SPARQ campaign (from the Oregonian) click here.

PS... Off Topic True Story: In college, I was in the same Opinion Writing as lacrosse player Kyle Harrison, one of the other SPARQ athletes featured on the Nike site. Nice guy.  Belated thanks for that whole "National Championship" thing, Kyle.  Our professor was this guy: Gregory Kane of the Baltimore Sun. Just as intimidating online as he was in the classroom. The more you know...
