The Behind the Beat blog has come out of hibernation! Jason Quick weighed in last night with some reasoned speculation about who will become the next Assistant GM. Among the tidbits:
--KP says the hire will not be well known but "has a lot of years of experience" and "has worked with some of the best guys in the business".
--Oft mentioned candidate Sam Presti from San Antonio will not be the guy. Neither will familiar names Dave Twardzik and Wayne Cooper.
--Quick speculates that Pritchard's greatest growth area will be managing the salary cap and thus that would be a huge asset for his assistant to have.
--He also offers some possible names from his own research.
It's worth a read.
