WOOOHOOOO! WOOOOHOOOO! Finally the homers get paid off! Who says it doesn't pay to bet on the Blazers?
This was another game with freaky statistics, proving that betting the averages in not always the best strategy. The Wizards scoring only 73 and Zach scoring 10 killed almost everybody's stat points. But once again a select few elite still managed to score stat points so I couldn't change the system on the fly. The three culprits this time were DropstepJ with 1 stat point and QualityPie and Bairdy with 5 each.
Bairdy, by the way, just gave us one of the greatest moments in the history of this contest. He picked the Blazers to win and he believed so much he DOUBLED DOWN. His faith was repaid handsomely, of course. He already had the highest score for the day without the double! Way to go Bairdy!
Finally, I offer this from Phoenix Dan from the Gameday Open Thread. He may be trying to yoink a jersey from us, but he's being an awfully good sport:
If I was going to miss 50 points by predicting the wrong winner and bonus question, this is the game I would want to do it on. Gilbert only scored 9 points and the Wizards got killed!
