Yes, I have seen Henry Abbott's piece over at TrueHoop that states that the Lakers aren't all that bad and may even be worthy of rooting for. Yes, he has been banished from the club. Yes, Oregonlive blogger Casey Holdahl and I will continue to hold to the true tenets of the faith, which includes considering the Lakers' attraction level somewhat south of regurgitated mucous on toast.
This is just like those times you saw He-Man working together with Skeletor. It may seem justified at the moment, but you just KNOW it's going to come back and bite you in the butt someday. Bad idea.
