Back Away Slowly

I'm going to take a little break from blogging for the next couple of days.  Things are falling apart here at Blazers Edge HQ.  The cat has cancer, requiring specialist medical treatment, the basset is limping and also requiring medical attention, gas prices are skyrocketing, and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict deteriorates everyday that Hamas refuses to recognize that a two-state solution is the only path to peace.  So when you look at it that way, worrying about what the Blazers are doing seems kind of trivial, not that these problems are going to stop me from keeping my fingers crossed for my Red and Black.  What it will do is keep me from putting my insignificant Blazer-related thoughts down on digital paper for a little bit.  I figure at this point that, with everything so topsy-turvy in Blazerland, that now is the best time to let the dust settle.  I'll be back in a few days to resume commiserating about the draft, highly-paid malcontents, current and future ownership, and everything else that comes along with being a Trail Blazer fan in the 21st century.

By the way, if you ain't got nothing else to do, click on the ad for my one lone sponsor: Ben Westlund's independent bid for governor.  I'm not saying you should or shouldn't vote for him, but cat oncologists don't come cheap, so any little bit of extra coin you could indirectly send my way would put me in your eternal debt.

Update: You have to read the transcript of Jason Quick's interview with Darius. Very candid, enlightening stuff.
