Open Thread: Suns vs. Blazers

Death with dignity?  Probably not, but at least the misery will all be over soon.  Well, probably not. There's no silver lining here folks.   Both personnel and ownership are up in the air, like so much sneeze-inducing pollen, causing scratchy throats and watery eyes throughout the Willamette Valley.

Suck it in though, because who knows what's going to happen in the months to come.  The end of this season in particular reminds me of a quote from the movie Swingers.  While trying to get his friend Mike out of the post-breakup funk that he's in, Rob remarks that:

Sometimes is still hurts.  You know how it is, man.  I mean, each day you think about it less and less.  And then one day you wake up and you don't think of it at all, and you almost miss that feeling. It's kinda weird.  You miss the pain because it was part of your life for so long.

Will I miss the pain of this season?  Who knows.  What I do know is that I'd rather feel the pain that comes along with losing by double-digits night in/night out, than feeling nothing at all.
