Lance Knows Vegas

Covers.com, my personal favorite when it comes to sports gaming information, has an article today describing what I discussed yesterday; that betting against the Blazers is easy money.  The Blazers are even a good bet when the line is more than +10.  Of the 22 times this year that opposing teams have been favored by 10 or more, the Blazers failed to cover 14 times, with one push.  Of the last 10 games in which Blazer opponents have been favored by 10 or more (a time period stretching back to February 4, in which the Red and Black have played some of the worst basketball in Blazer franchise history) the Blazers failed to cover 7 of those times.

So if you need a little extra cash and don't mind betting against your favorite Portland-based professional sports team, lay some dollars on whatever team is lucky enough to play the Blazers, especially if the line is somewhere between +10 and +14.5.  Case in point: The Blazers play in Phoenix tomorrow.  If the line is somewhere around +13 or less, I'd bet against the Blazers, especially when considering A) what happened the last time the Blazers played in Phoenix, and B)what happened the last time Phoenix played against the Blazers.  Something tells me it's payback time.
