Shaq on Twitter
I just found out about this today. It's a running monologue direct from the mind of Shaquille O'Neal. Therefore it is awesome.

Dean Demopoulos talks to TrueHoop
Henry Abbot's rocking another in his series of interviews with assistant coaches. This time with the Blazers' zone guru, Dean Demopoulos.
Lots of good stuff but my favorite graph was the one about how G.O.'s learning the NBA game while rehabbing:
What kind of teaching-the-game stuff can you do with Greg Oden while he's watching all this?
He gets it through osmosis a little bit. Just being there, feeling it, you know. Making sure that you show him things that are happening on the floor. I know when we were playing bigger, stronger players the Mournings, the Shaqs, Luke was making sure Greg watched how the power players play. And we don't have a power player on our team. There are only a few of them in the world.
Guys always learn better from watching guys. That's how little kids watch and mimic you. They learn better through watching and seeing what players do and stuff like that. You know, being around practice, he's a nice kid, he's a nice guy. Hopefully, he'll come back and get into condition for us and start from there.

Eyewitness Report
Went to my first Blazer game at the Staples Center. Oh what fun. I was decked literally head to toe in Blazer gear with my opening night hat and my brand new Addidas Blazer kicks. I was heckled quite politely at a bar before I even got to the arena. Two nice old guys told me the Blazers would lose and then wished us luck. When I got to my seat I immediately began my usual Laker heckling which consists mainly of me yelling at every player to pass the ball to Kobe and then yelling at Kobe to shoot the ball when ever he got it. My favorite part came when Kobe missed a free throw while all his fans were chanting "MVP" and then Brandon Roy went to the line the next play and I got to be the only guy in the Staples Center yelling "Rookie of the Year". A few guys behind me were making a few "Go back to Oregon and hug a tree" comments but they kept there mouth shut in the 4th quarter.
Jarrett was phenomenal. He scored 30 and you barely noticed. He just did his job. Aldridge was a freaking assassin from midrange. They'd leave him wide open at the top of the key and he was just automatic. I hadn't seen him play that many minutes before and I was a big fan.
The worst part of the game was obviously Joel going down. The Vanilla Gorilla is my boy. He signed my Chalupa coupon last year. It was painful to watch him limping off the court. Also it was no fun watching Martell still looking lost and ineffective out there.
All in all though it was a great feeling. Getting all geeked out and dressed up in my gear and yet still not looking like an idiot cuz my team won! Doesn't get better than that.
