Newer Absolute Low Point
We just lost to the Knicks.
The Knicks that traded away their two best scorers yesterday.
The Knicks that only played 7 players tonight.
The Knicks that don't have two All-Stars.
The Knicks that are dealing with maybe the biggest distraction in the NBA in Stephon Marbury.
The Knicks that just lost to the Bucks by 17 on Friday night.
I think this video sums it up well.

On ESPN's Page 2 (scroll down), Paul Lukas previewed this year's set of NBA throwbacks, including this Chicago Zephyrs throwback from 1962 the Wizards will be wearing.
Coach Jordan said that during the last two practices prior to the Rockets game he focused a great deal on rebounding since that has been lacking during the last few games. He instructed his players to find a body when a shot goes up, rather than looking for the ball or looking to run down court. Coach Jordan quoted legendary Princeton and Sacramento coach Pete Carill when discussing rebounding. Coach Carill told him that rebounders come to the gym with towels because they come prepared to work hard; shooters come to the gym with pretty bags. The assumption being rebounds get down and dirty, shooters do no such thing. Coach Jordan is looking for his players to bring towels.

Know Your Colts History: Nine Inch Nails Meets #18

At first, it might not seem like Peyton Manning and Nine Inch Nails' do-it-all man Trent Reznor have a lot in common. One is a heavy metal rocker, the other is the quintessential All-American boy with an oversized forehead playing quarterback in America's heartland. It might seem like an odd fit, but thery have more in common than you might think.
- Trent Reznor grew up in western Pennsylvania, often referred to as the cradle of quarterbacks because legends like Johnny Unitas, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, and Jim Kelly all hail from that area.
- As a student of the game, Peyton has always examined film of other great quarterbacks working at their craft and studied how he could improve his form by watching their techniques. As he performs, you can see what he's learned from watching Jim Kelly work the no-huddle, Johnny Unitas's grit, Dan Marino's quick release, and Joe Montana's ability to work the two-minute drill to perfection.
- Manning grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana where he started his football career at Isidore Newman High School.
- At the same time that Peyton was lighting it up the Louisiana record books, Trent Reznor was recording Nine Inch Nail albums at Nothing Studios. Where were those studios located? New Orleans, Louisiana. While Peyton was growing up, the two of them were neighbors.
The comparison doesn't end there. As you'll see, NIN's albums tell the story of Peyton's career quite well.

Well, it's nice to see that it's standing on two legs, smiling, and out in public. The wax sculpture is nice too.
Oh, and at this event Gilbert said that finishing in last could be "for the better" in the long-term. I know that sounds kind of weird, but I'm pretty sure Gilbert meant that in the best way possible.

Speaking of T-Shirts, the Monumental Air shirts will be ready soon. Just hang on a little while longer, it'll be worth it.

There are two ways to look at this.
1. Only having a 0.2% chance of making the playoffs nine games into season is pretty bad, but we still have a better chance than the Clippers!
2. We're still projected to win 26 more games this season, so 1-81 chants are probably a bit premature.

Instead of waxing poetic about Gilbert's return...
Tomorrow you can be poetic with a wax Gilbert.

Reggie Wayne is going to walk on water
Granted it's in a commercial, but still, very cool.
No word on when we'll get to see Peyton Manning walk on lava.
