Woelfel: UFA C Joel Przybilla Agrees To Sign With Bucks

Gery Woelfel of JournalTimes.com reports that unrestricted free agent center Joel Przybilla has agreed to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks. The Portland Trail Blazers had reportedly been one of three finalists for his services along with the Bucks and the Dallas Mavericks. ----------------------------------- Joel Przybilla has verbally agreed to sign with Bucks. Chose Bucks over Trail Blazers and Mavericks. ----------------------------------- Jason Quick of The Oregonian has confirmed the agreement on Twitter. Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com reports on Twitter that the 1-year deal is worth $1.35 million, the veteran's minimum. Przybilla, 32, averaged 2.0 points and 5.1 rebounds in 16.6 minutes in 27 games for the Blazers last season. He spent all or part of the last eight seasons in Portland, getting traded to the Charlotte Bobcats at the 2011 deadline and then getting re-signed as a free agent in February 2012. ed: text edited, bumped to front page

Aschburner: Healthy again, big man Przybilla aims to help ailing Blazers

A little insight into Joel's decision to come back to the NBA and Portland. He is also enjoying playing right now even though the team is going through a rough spot. He just has a huge passion for the game.

Dwight Jaynes follow up article

Here's Dwight Jaynes' follow piece on the trade idea. It's not very insightful. He applauds the Steve Nash idea (yuck), mentions Felton, who would be an ok consolation prize if we were getting something more, Johnny Flynn (seriously?), and Tony Parker...along with Antonio McDyess, who I'm pretty sure saw was going to retire, but Parker would be my number 1 choice outside of Deron Williams if it were possible. Obviously these are my opinions, feel free to form your own. I'm not sure why Devin Harris isn't mentioned when Utah is shopping him so hard right now, and I'm surprised he doesn't mention Chris Paul....lol. http://www.csnnw.com/pages/landingdwight?Getting-down-to-business-what-sort-of-ve=1&blockID=536374

Reggie Jackson May Have Draft Promise from Blazers

According to this article, there's a rumor and a theory floating around that Portland is the team to have gotten Reggie Jackson to cancel all of his workouts.

Behind the scenes with Blazers Rookie Armon Johnson by Bruce Ely

Blazer beat phtoographer Bruce Ely catches the human, excited side of Armon Johnson's first night playing pro ball. So good.

Blazer Collection

You might have seen this guy's collection on TV before a game earlier in the year. Well now he has uploaded pictures of all his game worn jerseys and is uploading pictures of awesome items in his collection every day. By far the best and most extensive collection I have ever seen. 10X better than the guy they featured in 2002 with the office full of stuff. As of right now only 43 people like this. There is no way only 43 people would like a collection like this so I figured there were plenty that have yet to check it out. I decided to make it easy for everyone to see it and what better place to find blazermaniacs than Blazersedge! Also I would love to see every one elses awesome blazer items so post pictures if you want to show your stuff off! Lets get hyped for 2011! Go Blazers!

Comcast + Blazers = Horrible for fans

Forget pay-per-stream Blazer games on the internet. Let's renew our push to get Comcast and the Blazers to cut a deal with Direct TV and Dish Network to broadcast games, once and for all. Good article here from the Columbian. Makes me wonder why in the world Blazer brass don't exert some more pressure on Comcast to cut this deal. Beginning to think they don't care about us fans like they say they do. Put your money where your mouth is Mr. Allen. You used to know how to do this...

Sergio Llull anyone?

I did not now Sergio Llull was in the draft this year. I read this article on Nba.com and was surprised to see he was in there. The NBA point they compare him to is Jose Calderon, but then they write this "Llull has good physical attributes for the NBA, including excellent size and above-average athleticism. He brings great energy to the floor and really gets after it defensively. He's also a much improved perimeter shooter and decision maker, appearing to be one of those late-bloomers who still has upside to grow into." Sorry, but that totally destroys the comparison to Calderon. I only know him from watching him play online in some games, but I liked what I saw. We could draft him, and if Bayless works out he could come over next year to be a back up. If Bayless does not work out I think we would have Llull as insurance. For those that fear another Sergio fiasco, I thought he was very different from Sergio when I saw him.
