You're supporting him
because he's part of my future administration, as the Re-Education Secretary, no doubt.

I commend you for a wise, indeed, an Educated choice.  We might even say Enlightened.

It is always a good idea to persuade the people who are in certain positions that you have been their supporter for a long, long time.

I wonder if I should find a position for you?  Perhaps you could be the Groupie Coordinator, or something.  It's getting hard for me to keep track of them all, and it will only get worse.

I'm frequently right, but always certain

annthefan's title:
Minister of Crime and Punishment ... she captures the Outlaws.

LOL
It would never work.  The Outlaw has captured her heart -- she'd be useless in that role.

Ha Ha. I've always been a sucker for bad boys
with hearts of gold, underdogs with the will to win and the guy everyone else picks on. Can I be head of the Ministry of Homerism? Groupie Coordination would fall under my jurisdiction. Also I could mete out punishment to all those criminally fair weather fans who allow parts to dangle off the bandwagon.

Hmmm
There's merit in your ideas.

I always thought Groupie Coordination comes under the Defense Department, because I have so many groupies I have to fight them off.

Ah, well, rockingharder
You gave it a heck of a go.  Well done, all - and good luck to the winners.

You're saying
your boy can't make up an 18 point deficit?  Is that reverse psychology or something?

I know these are the best of the best
but people have gotten below 20 plenty of times.  You're in it.  Especially since Blazer-L*ker games in Portland seldom go completely according to form.

Go!
Dear Rockingharder,

I am throwing my support to you and am asking the delegates committed to me to support your quest for the title.

I am showering you with my largesse for old times sake because, if I am remembering correctly (and I may not be), you were one of the contenders for the title last season.  As one of the veterans of the contest you must be aging and your skill deteriorating (as I am and mine is) and so this may be your last chance to take it all.  Therefore I PROUDLY proclaim that THIS IS THE YEAR OF ROCKING HARDER.

Rock on!

Holy-moly!
I've reined in Jorga's endorsement! This is quite an honor, and it really puts the pressure for tonight's game since I had the lowest score in the first game (although I only need to make up 18 points).

You are partially remembering correctly; I was in the playoffs last season. However, I don't know about "aging and skill deteriorating"... Let's just say I'd fit the Blazers' championship window.

I'd fit the culture, too. They should just give me a minimum contract for a year to give me a chance.

I Hope
Someone writes a diary complaining about their player not picking Brandon Roy to be the leading scorer, or how they should have picked someone else to be their hoss.  That would be really funny, if it was lighthearted.

Even though he's already out,
I have no regrets over picking SupremePuntiff. After all, he sent me one of these:
