Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Diary of the Week

First, some links:

-- Remember when Damon got busted with the weed wrapped in tin foil in the airport?  The charges were dropped. The power of an attorney.
-- Highly recommended reading.  Thanks to Caleb over at the Trailblazers Game-Time Blog for the heads up.
-- Brian Hendrickson on LaMarcus Aldridge's Most Improved Player prospects.
-- Wendell Maxey on Travis Outlaw's Development.
-- More Maxey on The Sonics' last(?) home game.
-- Mike Barrett with his Mavericks Game Wrap.
-- Casey cranks up the multimedia with his Mavericks postgame report.
-- The Hoop Summit Game Recap from USA Basketball.

Now, this week's Diary of the Week was a runaway no-brainer: tominhawaii's Racism and the NBA."

Posted in that diary by commenter BlazersOrBust was an article he wrote for the Tufts Daily on a similar topic.   Check it out here.

Congratulations to tominhawaii.  I found this picture of him celebrating his achievement.

You Know
When I came home on a Friday to seven message from the local media, I seriously thought about trying to find a local kid to pretend to be Keoni for me.  I was freaking out, thinking that if I didn't play my cards right, they'd think I was a pervert trying to hook up with a teen.  The whole affair was pretty funny because my wife's family saw the story on the news, in Oregon, a week before the media found me.  I spend about five days laughing at the media and then two days trying not to have a panic attack.

Yep
It's actually really embarrassing and really funny all at the same time.  I still blame my mother in law, it was her idea to reply from Hawaii.

The worst part
You being interviewed on the beach. Hawaiians are show offs.

I tried to do it in the parking lot
Of my apartment but they wanted to go to the beach and I was willing to do whatever they wanted to keep me from looking worse.  They were cool, they gave me a ride to work afterwards.

Thanks
I think that guy is wearing a Reyn Spooner.  Did you know that locals can tell if your aloha shirt is from Hawaii or not?  It took me a few months, but I can tell now too.

I feel like Tom Hanks, he went from Bachelor Party to Philadelphia.  To be honest, if I wasn't so sick of Colin Cowherd, I never would have listened to that Stephen A. Smith podcast, and I would have wrote a silly diary instead.  So I'm probably more of an Adams Sandler, and that was my Punch-Drunk Love.  I hope to some day be recognized for my work with American Idol.  It is not easy being serious.

I appreciate the long name shout. :) and the linkage -- thanks Ben. Amlmart, is your signature translated from Spanish? And if so, what's the original?

That's you? That's odd...
I would have thought you were more of a pineapple juice type.
I remember supporting the Blazers under sniper fire.

I haven't had
A drink out of a coconut yet, but a mai tai out of a pineapple costs at least $10.  Unfortunately, I'm more of a beer guy that's why I'm so chubby.

After I saw that a couple of days ago
I wanted to make some sly comment about a message in a bottle but I was afraid of infringing on anyone's privacy. I'm glad the cat is out of the bag and the message is out of the bottle. I could hardly contain myself.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
