Gameday Open Thread: Blazers vs. Knicks
As we stated in the preview below there will be no Zach Randolph for Blazers vs. Zach Round 2. There's no Stephon Marbury either. But the Knicks could still be tough.
What do we need to do in order to win? Who's the most likely Blazer to punish New York? And how nice would it be to surpass last year's win total with nearly 1/4 of the season left to play?
Register all of your game-related thoughts here before, during, and after.

P.S. Don't forget to check out SBN sister site PostingandToasting for the Knick-positive--well, OK, nobody's really Knick-positive, but at least Knick-friendly point of view.
P.P.S. There's no jersey contest this game because it's back-to-back and on a Saturday which doesn't give people enough warning to enter. (The Milwaukee scores will be posted as soon as we check out a small possible glitch in one submission.)

I Supervise a Power Plant. Same idea. It is always there. Gives you a lot of flexibility, just be ready for anything at any time. You adapt. I end up with a lot of reserve energy usually. With an ocasional Big Drain. That hasn't happened since a Start Up last April.

What if...?
Conversativaly, what if we GET blown out so bad that Dolan thinks that Isiah is actually on to something and it just took time for the team to gel and they are only like 2 games out of the playoffs in the East because the East sucks so Dolan decides it's best to keep the status quo and make a push for the playoffs? That would suck :-( And it's be our fault :-( We would forever be held in a dank, dark place in Knick Fan's hate-zone portion of his gloopy gloppy Knick-heart.
I wanna win this game. Too bad Zee-Boh ain't gonna play, as LMA will TEAR. HIM. UP.
But hey, Jamal Crawford is having a good season for him. I don't mind him, but he kinda epitomizes the good-scorer-when-on-a-bad-team type of guy. Oh, and so does Z-Bo. Oh, and so does Stephon Marbury. Oh, and so does Eddy Curry. Oh, and so did Steve Francis. I'm surprised Isiah didn't trade for Ben Gordon and Corey Maggette to corner the market on good-scorers-bad-team type players.
WHAT ME WOULD DO TO FIXX THE KNIXX:
Waive everyone except Jamal and David Lee, call up 13 of the best 13 best best bestest all star D-LEAGUE players, and promptly make the playoffs with a team of hard working guys eager to get the chance to NBA. OR, promptly make the lottery but do it with hard working guys who just aren't as talented but you can't hate them because they play hard. Wouldn't that be better, Knick Fan? Dolan can afford it. Geez it is so dumb that he HASN'T done this.
I'll bet dollars to donuts that Nate Robinson acts scrappy and wants to fight someone tonight. It's "his thing".
LET'S GO BALZERS!

Morty, you need to keep these ideas of yours secreted away. Like in late night posts that dissolve in the day light. What if;
Dolan reads this?
KnickFan gets a whiff of it?
Tommy replies?
Huh, huh? What if IR is gone? Then what do we do? Wait for him to appear on a fictitional crime drama like O.J.?

And how about those Blazers?!! That game last night was very exciting. It was nice to see LaMarcus get his first game winning basket.
the best part was seeing how excited
Did you see him
Brandon also does that in a "good luck charm" sort of way to the top of Blaze's head at the start of each home game, so I thought it was especially charming coming at the end of an exciting win.
The best thing about this team, hands down
Literally Brandon did not care if he took that shot. Now, sometimes I think he HAS to just take over and do it, but I love how it's not a problem for him if somebody else gets it. It makes you scratch your head and go, "Wait...this is the NBA right?"

Why the Knicks are doomed:
"David Lee had a nice double double, 12 points and 15 rebounds. He really has begun to pick it up a lot more lately."
They don't seem to realize that David Lee is just about the only thing that team has going for them. You know how LMA and Roy usually get the top 2 bullet points from Dave? Lee and Crawford should be that way for the Knicks.
There's just not much else to get excited about over there. "Eddy Curry remains overweight and annoying" "Stephon Marburry remains annoying". If I was a Knicks blogger, there would be no bullet points, just lots of swearing, capital letters, and demand for wholesale roster change.
Whosit playin'?

Good 1st for the Blazers. Heads up plays, good energy, and a little bit of NY struggle helped. But 36 points in the 1st? Woo shots are falling!

Portland calls timeout
Knicks hit two straight three's. The second was really back. Portland turned it over on a bad pass. The knicks went down, passed it for three, and Portland just ignored him and let him shoot.
BEAUTIFUL
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Knicks focused on Roy
10 point lead again. Could have been bigger but they missed a few in a row.
Knicks going full-court pressure
NY's two main moves
Could Nate please design
They're AWFUL when inbounding from the other end with 5 or so seconds left. No exception here.
Knicks 14 FTA's, Portland 5
Just thought I saw
Roy scores to stop the bleeding
Knicks getting MUCH easier shots
hope we win

Did I mention we have a problem
Looks like both teams have been shooting...
Also see that Martell has showed up again tonight. Good sign. I think he's gonna be a solid player, he's still a BABY.
t
Pryz only 19 minutes tonight...
Why is he out?
No paint defense...
Knicks are better without
Also, Nate Robinson scoring 35 pts helps their cause a bit.
Blazers don't beat anybody to a pulp...
Those are your three choices.
t
Nate Robinson has 34 points
LMA NICE FOLLOW...

good foul
If Portland loses the game, it's their fault
I like Lee...
You KNOW the Knicks will take Darius!!!
b. Zach will push for him!
The Knicks are an inferior team...
Roy seems really tired tonight
I'm surprise that Sergio still rides pine.
How many PG's
Charge all the way...
Actually, head hits floor...
LMA...
Pryz affected that miss also.
Foul was down lower on the body.
horrible pass by Jack...

Knicks are back to back here also...
Roy's not explosive tonight
Oh, yeah, no doubt.
Blazers looking like crap now.
Wow
Timeout, 2:13 left, POR clinging (clinging!) to a two point lead.
I want Webster and I want Jack!!!
Did I say I want Blake???
TERRIBLE shot, LMA...
He thought it was a 19 footer...
