I have a question.
Let me preface it by again mentioning that I only recently got the ability to watch the games but I've listened for years. I need somewhere online that describes various plays and how they're executed. Graphics would be great and animation would be fantastic. I've looked around some but haven't really found what I'm looking for. Finally, the question: Does anyone have any suggestions?

I can find you some
but graphics are scarce.  We do as good of a job as anybody of describing them verbally.

What kind of plays are you interested in knowing about?

Hmmm
ESPN's gamecast doesn't show you the positioning of the players, but it does show you who took a shot and from where in something close to real time. But you won't be able to determine if the turnover was due to a poorly angled entry pass or the ball bouncing off the dribblers foot and out of bounds.

There may be better alternatives out there, but I frequently use the ESPN setup.

what plays?
I (or someone else) could potentially diagram them for you.

JT
If you know how to do diagrams I would LOVE to rough out something on basic plays for the site.  A lot of people have these questions and nobody does it simply and clearly.  They are usually either bad explanations or coach-speak that nobody can understand.

Let me know if you're willing.

I will take a stab at it
What would you want diagrammed?

Wow. That would be wonderful. I don't
even have a good BB vocabulary. Let me see. For instance, I know what a pick and roll is but how should the rest of the team position itself? How do you herd the opposing team into a position to enable your team to take advantage of the pick and roll? And like Dave mentioned, just basic things for us tyros. Sort of a tutorial, maybe. It would be great to be able to click on a link on the sidebar and it pops up a diagram of a play just mentioned. Wow. That's probably waaaay too much to ask. Maybe what I'm actually talking about is a video game. Hmmmmmm.

Mortimer's humorous response was to JT giving me his e-mail address. I've since deleted the comment to protect his secret identity.  But no need to waste the humor!

Of course now that I have to explain the joke...

And not a one about the jersey contest.  For shame!  People might as well give up, because that jersey is mine.  Mine I tells ya, all mine.

Cue the Starship and fade to black.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
