Warriors Wager

To make things interesting on Sunday I got together with GoldenStateofMind, our Warriors affiliate on this network (and the most popular NBA site on the network by far, by the way, but we're gaining...) and we placed a wager on the game. The whole "you write something nice about my team or I'll write something nice about yours" deal has been done various places already, so we upped the ante. If the Blazers win they have to write some nice things about this BLOG...and vice versa, of course. Oh...and it has to be in some form of rhyming poetry. No haiku, something substantial.

I suppose now you'll have a whole new reason to cheer on the Blazers. "Tanking" my butt!

Just went to GSoM, and 2 things:

1) They played that game in their old "The City" unis, which I knew.
What I DIDN'T know was they're doing that for every home game in March,
which is "Hardwood Classics Month" for the entire NBA.

Does this mean the Blazers will be wearing some throwback unis
for a home game sometime soon? Maybe several games?
That Spurs game was March 1, and it was the home standard.
I'd especially love to see Ime in the sort of uniform Blazers wore while he was a kid.

2) The Worriers were celebrating not only a win over the Paper Clips,
but the new GSoM record for posts in a game day thread: 270 posts.
Meanwhile, this place is hitting 300-400 pretty much every time out.
That's a pretty good point of comparison--all credit to all of you.

i'll make my prediction now,dave you don't have to worry about a thing,blazers-111-g.state-107 in an old run-tmc,tp43 shootout,yeah and dave can you let me breathe a bit please dude,if the damn ducks win the pac-10,you don't believe for 1 second it'll be a big topic on this site,so hey i'm excited,i have about 80 slammin women to be at my party tonite,i just wished you guys were here,but dave your doing your loyalty to the biased die*hards,and said they keep wacthin false playoff dreams,and draft*tournament wacthing,while i'll be wacthing real draft prospects in about 2.5 hours from now.i love you guys wish me luck tonite..
