Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Friday News

Sparse news among the usual sources this morning, though more may come out during the day.

Brian Hendrickson gives us the lowdown on Martell earning a shot at starting.

Mike Barrett recaps courtside (with links!) and debunks a strange Martell rumor.  There's also another nice picture of Martell.  Sorry Jorga, his shirt is on.

Jason Quick tells us all about Taurean Green.

Also Jaime from Spain writes:

I just wanted to point you to the highlights video from today's game between DKV Joventut and AXA Barcelona. Rudy Fernandez had a great game until he got injured in the 3rd quarter. He was, again, having a hot hand and scored 5 consecutive threes in the 2nd quarter. Check the video here

Rudy ...
Man, you gotta be excited about getting that kid over here. If we can throw Roy, Rudy, Martell, Aldridge, and Oden out there, that team will be nigh unstoppable.

I used to scoff at the idea of Brandon as a full-time PG, but I don't know that you can keep Fernandez on the bench with how he flies around the court guns a-blazing. What a team that will be if they can all stay healthy!

Ruuudy!
I clicked on the large screen and watched it a couple of times, trying to figure out which one was Rudy, and finally realized it was his team, but not the right video.  The one you want to choose is 18.10.2007 Show y paliza del DKV Joventut al AXA FCB (94-73) when they count down his "triples" (nice having one word for a three-pointer.)  Dead-eye.

Also learned that "alley oop" and "coast-to-coast" is the same in Spanish :-).  And who is Ricky??!!  He's the star of the Top5.

Thanks, Jaime!

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
