Bobcats sign G Brown

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - The Charlotte Bobcats signed free agent guard Shannon Brown to an undisclosed contract Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4, 211-pound Brown appeared in 21 games split between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls last season, averaging 5.4 points and 1.0 rebound per contest.

An early-entry candidate in the 2006 NBA Draft, Brown was originally selected by the Cavaliers with the 25th overall selection. In two NBA seasons, Brown has appeared in 44 games with nine starts and has averaged 4.3 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists.
