Gameday Open Thread: Cavaliers vs. Blazers
The season grind continues. Tonight, the Cleveland Cavaliers come to town to play the Portland Trail Blazers (Tip off 6:10pm). The Blazers have had a nice long break since that win over the Lakers Thursday night. At least, I don't remember any games since then. So, what do you expect to see tonight?
Injury report: All's quiet.

Well, it all comes down to this, doesn't it? Tonight, the Dallas Mavericks take their 3-2 series lead into the Rose Garden to play the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 6 (Media notes). For the past two years, the Blazer playoff hopes have ended in Game 6. Can they reverse that trend this year? Hang out here and cheer them on.

Another game? But I'm still enjoying the last game! Nonetheless, today the Portland Trail Blazers return to Dallas to play the Mavericks in Game 5 (Media notes). After the events of Game 4, everyone will be watching this one closely. Can the Blazers take a 3-2 series lead back to Portland? Could you imagine the Rose Garden crowd if so? Game 3 Open Thread: Mavericks vs. Blazers (Pregame)
Well, this is pretty much the definition of a must-win playoff game. Tonight, the Dallas Mavericks try to eke out a road win against the Portland Trail Blazers (Media notes). No messing around here, I'd like to see the Blazers open this game up early, and never look back. They badly need a confidence boost.

Game 2 Open Thread: Blazers vs. Mavericks (Pregame)
It felt like an eternity, but Game 2 is here. Tonight, the Portland Trail Blazers try to even the score with the Dallas Mavericks (Media notes). Pat Riley once said that a playoff series doesn't begin until the home team loses. Well, it's time for this series to begin tonight. Hang out here and discuss your hopes, fears, expectations and anticipation.
Injury report: For Dallas, Roddy Beaubois is expected to return tonight, but his status is not confirmed. It's likely he wouldn't start either way.

A quick note on the rules: The usual ones apply below. Most GDT'ers are great about them. The rules are hardest to follow when the game gets rocky; nonetheless, it's a family site, even when events go bad. And of course, please don't attack each other when you're frustrated. That never ends well. Thanks!

Game 1 Open Thread:: Blazers vs. Mavericks
Playoffs, baby! Tonight, the Portland Trail Blazers visit the Lone Star State to play the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the 2011 NBA Playoffs (Media notes). This year, the Blazers are involved in the series everyone is watching with anticipation. Hang out here and discuss the happenings.
You know, you don't need another person to add any thoughts, since I think Dave, Ben, Mavs Moneyball, and everyone in the fanposts have covered every aspect nicely. But I'll just add this: After taking playoff berths for granted for generations, it wasn't that long ago we were watching the playoffs every year with disinterest, having long since been eliminated. So let's have some fun tonight and enjoy the game.
Injury report: The Mavericks' Rodrigue Beaubois was injured in the season finale, and will not play tonight. This is indeed likely to the Blazers' advantage.

Gameday Open Thread: Sorta-Blazers vs Pseudo-Warriors
[OKC is the 4th seed after losing to the Bucks in overtime. Meanwhile, the Mavs destroyed the Hornets. So, if the Lakers win, the Blazers play the Mavs. If the Lakers lose, they play the Blazers. The Lakers/Kings game is in overtime, and we're discussing it below!]
This had better be the most relaxing game since we played the Cavs. Tonight, the 48-33 Portland Trail Blazers leisurely arrive in Oakland to play the 35-46 Golden State Warriors (Media notes). This game means nothing to either team, and the minutes tonight will likely reflect that. I certainly hope this game is much less memorable than last year's meaningless Game 82 against the Warriors, so relax, hang out, and have some fun here.
Tonight's starting lineup: According to Joe Freeman, Andre Miller, Wesley Matthews, Rudy Fernandez, Chris Johnson, and Earl Barron. On the other hand, Aldridge, Wallace, Camby, and Batum will be suited but will not play.
Injury report: For the Blazers, everyone is as healthy as they're going to get, but many of them will probably not play much. For the Warriors, Monta Ellis' season is over after that scary concussion, but Stephen Curry will try to play.

Gameday Open Thread: Grizzlies vs. Blazers
Game 81. It's time to rise to the occasion. Tonight, the 46-34 Memphis Grizzlies battle the 47-33 Portland Trail Blazers (Media notes). If the Blazers win, they're the sixth seed. And we have no idea who they'd be playing, so it's going to be interesting few days. In the meantime, the Blazers need to win this for mojo as much as for seeding.
Injury report: Marcus Camby practiced, and is starting tonight. Zach Randolph and Tony Allen are not playing for the Grizzlies. No reason given.

Gameday Open Thread: Lakers vs. Blazers
Playoff implications abound tonight, as the 55-23 Los Angeles Lakers are in town to face the 46-33 Portland Trail Blazers (Media notes). The Blazers need a win to stay even with the Hornets for the sixth seed and avoid being swept by the Lakers for the first time in 22 years.
Injury report: Marcus Camby will not play tonight due to a strained neck.
