Amid the talk of 30-8 starts and national awards that sprinkled the beginning of the 2014-15 Portland Trail Blazers campaign, we also want to remember Sandra "Sandy" Zickenfoose. The 67-year-old season ticket holder collapsed during the fourth quarter of the November 6th Trail Blazers-Dallas Mavericks game. She was taken to the hospital and later died. She was honored with a rose in her seat for the next game.

We here at Blazer's Edge offer condolences to the Zickefoose family. We haven't forgotten. Also thoughts and prayers for all in the Trail Blazers family who have lost loved ones during the season. Somewhere there's a land where every championship falls into the right hands and no fan has to experience losing anymore. Until we get there, keep the seats warm and those red and black pom-poms waving.
It seems appropriate to dedicate this hour of the season review to Sandy and those we miss.
