The Hornets changed their name from the "Bobcats" at the end of the 2013-14 season.
The Blazers parted ways with director of NBA scouting Mike Born last month. Born and Buchanan were both brought to the Blazers by former GM Kevin Pritchard and remained throughout Cho's tenure and two seasons under Blazers GM Neil Olshey, who was hired in 2012.
Portland's front office also includes assistant GMs Bill Branch Steve Rosenberry, who were brought to Portland by Cho.
