Trade into the LOTTERY???

So to kind of go off another line of thinking that Dave addressed in the Mailbag, do you guys think it would benefit us to try and trade one of our starters for a lottery pick in this years draft? Now although breaking up our starting 5 is not ideal in my opinion, I feel like this kind of move could allow us to take a gamble the lottery pick becomes a star, while also shedding some salary and allowing a big free agent move. Here is what I think could best help us accomplish this:

TRADE

Blazers Receive: #5 Pick, 2015 2nd round pick

Jazz Receive: Nicolas Batum, C.J. McCollum, Claver

Free Agency: This would rid us of about $15 million in salary, while taking on $3.5 million for the #5 pick for a net gain of $11.5 million in cap space. Say we sign Luol Deng to something along the lines of 3yrs/$33 million. I know my numbers are probably off a bit, so don't shoot it down right away, but you get the idea here.

Draft: I know everyone is going to cringe with this pick, but I say we take advantage of Embiid slipping and draft him here. This is the ultimate high risk/high reward pick and although our luck has been terrible, I feel like we are due for a success story finally. This would give us a solid lineup going forward.

Roster
Lillard/Mo
Wes/Barton
Deng/Wright
LA/Robinson
Lopez/Embiid
