I was looking at potential trade targets for the Blazers and saw Arron Affalo-who would be a great 6th man and Jameer Nelson-who would fill Mo's role could be available if Orlando receives enough draft picks and/or young players. The Magic also have very few players on contract and doing a trade similiar to the one I am proposing would fill up some roster spots and give them cap room. Affalo is a good player but the combined $15.5M he and Nelson are set to make next year seems like a waste on a team with such a young core. Here is the potential deal:
Blazers get: Jameer Nelson and Arron Affalo
Third team gets: Dorrell Wright and Meyers Leonard
Phoenix is probably the best target for this third team because they have 3 first rounders (#14, #18, & #27) and would benefit from DWright's shooting and they can keep or drop Len and/or Leonard after this year.
This leaves the Blazers with a stacked backcourt and no frontcourt but the MLE and BAE should allow them to add some decent players there.
