Kyle Anderson is 6-8 1/2" and weighs 230 lbs, and his weight is right at typical for someone of his height. His body fat % is 13.4%, which is 5.05% higher than typica, which is substantial. Trying to be charitable, he is not in top shape, probably a bit chubby. His wingspan is 86.75, which is 2.72" longer than typical, and his reach is 107.5, about 1-3/4" longer than typical. He would be described as longer than typical.

Kyle Anderson's comp score is 53.28, with a SD of 17.08. This is very similar to Andrew Wiggins, and he is the same height as Wiggins. It is good to compare and contrast the two. Anderson has a slightly higher Comp Score, but also a much higher SD. Where you see this is manifest is that Wiggins has 72.5% of his comps projecting to be league average or better, and Anderson has 65% league average or better. If you look at league average and worse, Wiggins has 47.5%, and Anderson 52.5%, yet Wiggins has more league average players than Anderson (20% to 17.5%). In other words Anderson has more poorer quality comps, even though his average comp is slightly higher.
Overall when assesing Kyle Anderson's comps, he has a very nice top end, with Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, and Andre Iguodala, with Iguodala appearing 3 times. Anderson's comps in the above average group are much more underwhelming though, the best of that group being Jerry Stackhouse, the remainder are all just role playing rotation guys. One very clear mark of Anderson's comps as opposed to Wiggins comps is that he has point guards that are solid rebounders for their position, and good passing wings. the only poor passer in all of his comps is Arnett Moutrie, and the only really poor rebounders (relative to position) are Jerry Stackhouse and Anthony Peeler. He has some really nice passing bigs. McRoberts, Ferry, Walton, and Green are all really nice passing big men, as was Grant Hill, and Iguodala. Overall I would grade him in the same group as Wiggins, but I would rate Wiggins a little higher. Wiggins may not have quite as stellar of a group of top end comps, but the risk with Wiggins is lower, and I think is actually quite a bit lower.

Statistically Kyle Anderson projects to below league average his first 3 seasons, and probably a bit below what you would expect and hope for. Offensively he grades out as clearly below average with an Ortg of 97.5, and this is driven by below average shooting efficiency, a below average usage rate, and a mediocre turnover rate. Defensively Anderson projects to be about league average in his first 3 seasons, and I expect he will make small but steady improvement over his first 3 seasons. As noted above Andersen is a solid defensive rebounder, plus he generates slightly more possession changes through steals and blocks, and he does so with a decent foul rate. Slight improvement in all those areas and would become a very solid defender, worthy of his Iguodala and Kidd comps.

Most Probable Best Case Outcome : Andre Iguodala
Most Probable Worst Case Outcome : Josh McRoberts
Most Probable Likely Outcome : Evan Turner / Luke Walton
