So, maybe its just boredom now that we are in the off-season, but why do I see so many suggestions to change our starting 5? Maybe its just fatigue as a Blazer fan of 14 or so years, but this is the first time I have seen hope in our future. The last time was the possibility of Roy/LA/Oden, and we all know how that turned out. We had a 54 win season this year, playing with one of the worst benches in the league. LA missed plenty of games during the regular season as well, which means we very likely would've been a 60 win team with no injuries.
I just don't get the desire to change that. Look at all the predictions about us at the beginning of this season, being a lottery team again, and look at what we accomplished. That is due to chemistry, because all analysts can do is look at individual pieces of a team and say that they have enough, when we proved this year that chemistry means more then all of that, something the Spurs have been proving for 17 years (with the help of one of the best coaches of all time).
I definitely think we need to improve our bench. T-Rob is showing some promise, as well as Barton. Nothing I saw this year with CJ impressed me, although he had his injury and had very limited minutes.
I just feel like we should be more focused on who we can get to come off the bench for us, because everytime I see a post or suggestion at trading RoLo, Wes, or Batum, it breaks my heart a little.
