During last offseason, several Blazers made some significant improvements to their game. I was impressed by the improvement Wesley made in his ball handling. Remember last season when we cringed if he made a move to the basket, or groaned when he couldn’t finish a layup? He addressed and improved a significant weakness to his game. Good work Wesley!
Last season none of us could stand to watch Joel Freeland play AT ALL. This year he was a meaningful member of the rotation. Way to go Joel!
I whined for several years about Aldridge having ZERO post game, and this year I saw him employ spins both left and right TO the basket, and not only the fade-away jumper (which is, admittedly, an amazing shot). I applaud you LMA!
My question is, if each Blazer were to focus on one or two aspects of their game, what aspect should that be for each player? You don’t have to answer for EACH Blazer if you don’t care to. Here is my two cents. I look forward to hearing yours.
LMA – Keep working on that spin to the middle, and on keeping the dribble lower.
T-Rob – Hitting the 10 foot jumper (teams often leave him open outside and he looks a bit lost).
Meyers – Tough to choose just one…but I’ll go with DEFENSE. Man to man, and rotation within the team strategy.
Will – Shot selection, and the outside shot.
Claver – Good lord man, learn to SHOOT the BALL.
Damian – Defending the pick and roll.
CJ – I just love this kid. I feel like he’s SO close.
Freeland – Whatever you did last off-season, do it again.
