First post, and I'm really just wondering people's thoughts about what you all prefer to see from your team.
There is an interesting article by Chris Haynes over at CSNNW
about the difference in the mindset of the Rockets
and the Blazers.
While I think the article might go to extremes a bit in characterizing the Rockets as care-free spirits of mirth and the Blazers as being as focused as a laser beam from the Death Star, I think the premise that the opposing teams have similarly opposing mindsets is valid.
Haynes himself states that, "this is not to say one team is more prepared than the other for a Game 2 win tonight, but the drastic contrast in game preparation is noteworthy".
Many around BE and other news/discussion outlets have noted that the Rockets seemed "focused" and "intense" heading into game one on Sunday night. Are we looking at a possible role reversal? Are the Blazers tightening up as they try to pull off the unexpected (or as some at TDS said prior to the series, 'impossible")? Or are they simply ready to come out and play another hard-fought game?
