portland trailblazers on the road to perdition

I m a French basketball fan and ,naturally takes an interest in these NBA teams where some Frenchies happen to play, notably the SAN ANTONIO SPURS and the PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS.............I won t elaborate on the SPURS .With PARKER and DIAW,they are tough contenders and they will probably reach the FINALS again...........I m not an expert of the game but when I Watch a BLAZERS game,I can t help feeling sickened by the tactics of the team. What a waste of talent. The team has 2 all stars: LILLARD and ALDRIDGE,both great.LILLARD is particularly fast and accurate.ALDRIDGE s jump shot is really effective.BATUM is improving all the time and his perimeter shots are often accurate......That being said, why do these talented players stick to the same tactics, come hell or high water?.....Why do they keep playing that run and gun basketball when they don t make their shots?........Why does LILLARD systematically drive to the basket when he knows the defence closes in on him or when he s double teamed ...Why in such circumstances doesn t he feed the ball to BATUM who s often open in the court corner behind the 3 point line?....For example, that s what PARKER does with the SPURS!......He,too,rushes to the basket but if he realizes he can t make it,he manages to pass the ball to BELLINELLI,DIAW who are open and have plenty of time to make a 3 point shot
