A little love for Joel Freeland

Watching last nights contest with the pacers, and really most every game, it occurred to me that joel Freeland doesn't get near enough credit for his turnaround this season. I can't begin to imagine where this team would be without his contribution. The idea of counting on T-rob or Meyers to man the middle for any meaningful stretches sends shivers down my spine, and im not sure we could be in the position we are right now with out the gritty, selfless play of our most unheralded big man. The idea that Joel could be a difference maker before the season started was unfathomable, and yet with a lot of hard work and focus he has transformed himself into exactly what this team needed to make its push to an upper echelon team. He may not put up numbers or even be noticeable to the casual observer, but his steadiness in the middle has allowed our starting bigs a little rest and for that I would like to give a big thumbs up. I only hope our two fledgling bigs are paying attention and can have a similar turnaround.
