The experience tonight was phenomenal although we lost. Here are some takeaways:
My seats were awesome, right by the Blazers bench, 3rd row behind the basket. After work, I put on my Blazers jacket and went to the game with my brother. I yelled out Coach Stotts' name and he turned around and waved. I had the privilage of highfiving Meyers, TRob, Damian Lillard, Lamarcus, Batum, Earl, and Wes. I felt like a kid during Christmas.
Casey Holdahl (sp?) was right behind me at one point but I had no desire to say hi as I was waiting for the players; kinda regret that one.
The best part of all this was the number of Blazers fans. We are SO dang passionate and loyal. Blazers jerseys, hats, signs scattered everywhere but mainly right behind the blazers bench. Seriously, this kinda stuff gets me so emotional haha!
I seriously wish we could somehow get a fanbase meet and greet here in DC, we must!
The game outcome was horrible. The past 5 years, we are 1-4 when Portland visits DC. I cringed everytime Mo shot the ball. Our defense needs a lot of work. And well, Timmy and Dave did the recaps so no need for more but overall, great meeting several of you fans tonight; if you read this I was that asian guy behind the hoop!
