Over the past few weeks I've been reading article after article about how the Blazers have no real options at the trade deadline. Well it just so happens while trolling from site to site reading all the bleak predictions for the Blazers trade deadline I noticed an awful lot of articles about the Milwaukie Bucks. One day it's an article about Sanders being available(out 6weeks from eye surgery), the next day Gary Neal wants to play for a contender, Luke Ridnours being floated around, Caron Butler is upset with his role and most recently Ersan Illyasova has reportedly requested a trade.
If you look at the Bucks I think its safe to say Giannis, Antetokounmpo, John Henson, Khris Middleton and for argument sake lets say Larry Sanders and Brandon Knight are off limits. In addition OJ Mayo is a bad trade target. That leaves us with the following trade targets;
PROBABLY TOO EXPENSIVE.
Zaza Pachulia $5.2M this season and 3yrs remaining
Ersan Illyasova $7.9M this season and 4yrs remaining
Caron Butler $8M this season NONE remaining
This is what we have left to choose from(see below). I could propose a lot of scenarios involving Illyasova or Zaza Pachulia. I could make cases for a veteran Caron Butler. But ultimately, we just need some solid depth and more talent.
Ekpe Udoh $4.5M this season NONE remaining
Luke Ridnour $4.5M this season NONE Remaming
Gary Neal $3.3M this season 2yrs remaming
Carlos Delfino $3.3M this season and 3yrs remaining
M. Raduljica$1.5M this season 3yrs remaining
Nate Wolters $500k this season 3yrs remaining
I'd love to make a 3-way trade where we steal Neal from them and trade Mo Williams. But simply put, I think there are more options out there that would help us now without sacrificing the future and half of the bucks roster is a great example of that.
