Blazers Set Date For Annual "FanFest" Scrimmage

Russ Isabella-US PRESSWIRE

The Portland Trail Blazers have set a time and date for their annual Fan Fest intra-squad scrimmage.

The Portland Trail Blazers announced Monday the time and date details for their annual Fan Fest intra-squad scrimmage, which is set for Sunday, Oct. 6.

Fans can catch the first glimpse of the 2013-14 Trail Blazers when the team holds its annual Wells Fargo Fan Fest on Sunday, Oct. 6 at the Moda Center.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. The event will feature general admission seating. The evening will be headlined by an intra-squad scrimmage at 6 p.m.

Free tickets and family passes are currently available at all of Wells Fargo's 129 bank branches in Oregon and southwest Washington. Fans will also be admitted by showing a Wells Fargo ATM or credit card at any entrance. Parking will be free, subject to availability.

The actual headliner, of course, is the rookie hazing dancing. Blazers guard Damian Lillard stole the show at last year's event by unveiling an enthusiastic rendition of the "Dougie" dance.

"It just shows you, not a lot of studying going on in college," former Blazers guard Ronnie Price told Blazersedge afterwards. "It's a lot of YouTube videos and people picking up on the new dances. That's what's going on these days."

Media Day is set for Monday, Sept. 30.
