As we all know Dame had an amazing rookie year.
He proved to be an exciting, cold blooded and durable player. He's already (arguably) a top 10 PG, and his name has been consistently mentioned among the elite in the game.
But what do we think he has in store for us as an encore?
In comparing his rookie season to other PG's of the 3 point era that Dame most resembles (stature, impact) there are a couple that jump out
My comparable list seen here
Rose had the exact same assist% as Lillard, they both had the same Orating and Lillard's Drating was a point better than Rose's at 112 to 113. About the same steal% too.
Lillard got his points more from the perimeter and Rose presumably drove/mid ranged for his. I was surprised to see Dame shot .6 more FTA per 36
Now for Francis, he was a comparable shooter to Damian; placing in second in the group to Lillard by .003 in True Shooting and a slightly larger margin in eFG%
So what did Rose and Francis do in their 2nd Season?
Rose made the All Star game, Francis made his first appearance in his 3rd Season.
I think the answer for Dame's course lays somewhere in between these two players
Personally I'm expecting 20 points per game in fewer minutes, with more efficient shooting and 6-7 assists.
