I have a feeling the Blazers will select C.J. McCollum at #10 and secure the Dallas Mavericks pick at #13 to select Gorgui Dieng. I think McCollum displays all the offensive skills to pair naturally with Lillard. He would probably be expected to guard opposing teams' SGs in a starting role, and I'm not sure he could. That's Blazers scouts and mgmt to decide. However, I'm thinking CJ's offense outweighs his potential defensive liability. If the Blazers can acquire the #13 pick from the Mavericks I think they would use it on Gorgui Dieng. He's obviously tenacious on defense and has the frame to guard centers once he puts on a few pounds. The Blazers sorely need defense and Meyers Leonard does not seem able to defend the post with his apparent high center of gravity. Offensively Dieng is a good passer (actually led Louisville in assists with 6 in the national championship game) and will probably mature into a decent scorer. He would contribute immediately on defense and in the passing game on offense. Getting McCollum at #10 and Dieng at #13 would be a score in my opinion.
