In Houston's road to attempt to clear cap space to attract Dwight Howard, I believe we can work with them to help fill the needs here in Portland. With the draft we address the backcourt and 1 potentially piece in the middle but in Free Agency we know that we will be looking to go big.
I believe the best way to acquire assets at this point would be to through trades. See proposed trade(s) below:

Houston Sends ($13.2M/Year):
Portland Sends ($4.3M/Year):

Victor Claver, Picks/Cash/Eurostash to finalize
With the unsubstantiated (but certainly possible) talk about LMA wanting to leave, it may be a good idea to have a backup with a potentially high ceiling to cultivate for 1-2 years. Even if LMA stays, he is a good backup who is much better for the money than what we could get in Free Agency or MLE. With Houston shopping Thomas Robinson, we should potentially explore that option.
Regarding Terrence Jones, I think he could be a possible SF to help spell Batum and certainly has potential as well. Plus he is a hometown kid.
Would like to hear what many think. I know this eats most of the cap space but I don't know that you can get much better than Asik and you would be paying a premium for that person anyways.
