Trade idea

Here's a thought

Blazers trade Batum to the Wizards for Okafor and the number 3 pick. Washington is trying to get rid of Okafor's salary also he will be an unrestricted free agent after this year.
Next the Blazers trade Wesley Matthews and Freeland and the 10th pick to Chicago for Luol Deng. Chicago is shopping Deng for a higher pick so they can get a backup center (can be had in this draft) and they also want help at SG next to Rose. Deng's numbers are comparable to Batum. Deng better on the boards Batum better 3%. Matthews would be a great addition as he is and outsider shooter who could play well off Rose penetrating. Also he gives them a defender to help with LeBron. Freeland is to get salaries closer (and a dump for us) also give them an additional big body which they're looking for.
We come out with about 9 million left in salary cap and the number 3 pick.
Use the number 3 pick to pick up Victor Olidapo. Additionally go sign Jermaine O'Neal or Dejuan Blair as your backup center for the min. Also sign Earl Clark from the Lakers for 1.5 million ( he's a good stretch 4 and rebounds well and would be a great backup to LA). With the remaining money you sign Tony Allen. Tough defender at both wing spots and a good character veteran. Keep Maynor and E Williams. Use 2nd round picks on finding Backup SG, SF and PG .

Team looks like this

PG- Lillard/ Maynor/2nd round pick SG- Olidapo/Allen/ E. Williams SF- Deng/Allen/Claver PF- LA/Clark/Blair or Oneal C - Oakfor/Myers/ Blair or Oneal

That is a pretty good starting lineup. Okafor boards and blocks very well and has a pretty good post up game. Deng is as good as Batum at all facets except maybe 3's but he's tougher. Allen is a way better defender than Matthews. True Okafor will be an Unrestricted Free Agent but it gives you time to evaluate Myers. Also he will get less $$$$ on his next contract.
You'd need to find a little bit more offense for the bench and that should be your focus in the 2nd round. Defensively we'd be pretty solid.

First time in, let me have it
