In order for the blazers to become dominant again we're going to have to get gutsy. Lets face it we will NOT be getting Oladipo and we're NOT trading LMA. So how about we ....
Make Minnesota an offer they SIMPLY CANNOT REFUSE:
Blazers get: Kevin Love
2013 1st Rd pick,
2014 1st Rd pick
2013 2nd Rd pick (#45)
(maybe add Wes Mathews to sweeten the deal)
Contrary to popular belief, THERE IS PLENTY OF TALENT IN THIS DRAFT! With our remaining 2 2nd round picks, we address our issues
Pick #39: Nate Wolters 6, 5 195
PPG: 22.3 RPG: 5.6 APG: 5.8
This kid is a flat out baller! Can shoot, handle, score. Got that combo guard thing going. Very similar production with Damian Lillard in college. But there's a good chance he goes earlier :(
Ray McCallum 6, 3 190
PPG: 18.7 RPG: 5.1 APG: 4.5
Similar to nate, but slighty less production. Another solid combo guard option who fills in the stat sheets
Isaiah Caanan 6,0 200
PPG: 21.8 RPG: 3.5 APG: 4.3
Yeah he's barely 6 ft, but so is Chris Paul. Kids a warrior and a winner, tough as nails. Also DEADLY from 3
Pick #40: James Ennis 6, 7 210
PPG: 16.5 RPG: 6.7 BPG: 1.3
Okay, you really need to check out his kid if you haven't heard of him. Crazy combination of athleticism, explosiveness. We're talking about a SF with effective guard skills who can lead the break and can shoot the 3-ball. We also get much needed help on defense.
The biggest positive with this scenario is WE GET KEVIN LOVE! Think Lillards numbers are good now, just wait till he's balling with LMA and Love. Everybody's production will go up.
And thus, RIP CITY is back baby
