Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is well proportioned height to weight. He would not be described as long, as bioth his reach and wingspan grade out as below average. He is a good athlete, both quick and agile, and a little better than average as a leaper.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is a nice contrast to Victor Oladipo. He has a couple of really nice "very best case" comps in Ray Allen and Allen Houston, and some nice "likely best case" comps in Eddie Jones, and Bradley Beal. On the bottom end there a very low probability that he will be a bust (just 3%). His group of likely comps is large, with a large number of really solid pro's who could end up as "likely best case". I don't believe Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has the same upside as Victor Oladipo, but his bust rate will be much smaller, and in all likelyhood he will have a long and solid career.

Overall for his first 3 NBA seasons Kentavious Caldwell-Pope grades out as a below average NBA player, but by his third year he would become a league average. That indicates that for years 23-31 he will be a better than league average player. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's ORtg and DRtg by his 3rd year indicates that he would be a good NBA defender, and just average to maybe a little below average offensively. His stat line is driven by two stats, usage rate and 3 pointers. He will shoot a lot from deep, and he looks to be about average as a 3 point shooter, and will have a high usage rate. This indicates to me that if he can push his TS% from 52.3% to 54%+ then he has a chance to become his better case comps. If he can't improve his TS% or it it declines much at all, and he maintains his usage rate then he becomes that dreaded high usage, low efficiency guard. That would place him in the Jamal Crawford category, a player with a 0.70 WS/48, and who spends the majority of his career golfing during playoff time. I believe he will be able to improve his TS% some and that puts him a nice grouping with his best comps, plus Gordon Hayward, Klay Thompson, Wesley Person etc.
