Easy and realistic way to move the needle.

Olshey is a genius. He got a second rounder and Pavlovic for free. He got Eric Maynor for free.(not really, but that trade exception won't be sorely missed)

he drafted Lillard even though there were talents like Drummond and Barnes still on board.

And now he's going to turn the blazers into title contenders.

Trade Joel Freeland to Phoenix for Memphis' pick, which will be around 25. The suns can't count on any draft pick being even half as good as even Freeland.

Package our 12th pick and both our second round picks (about 35 and 48 respectively) to either Sacramento, Detroit...to move up to 6 or 7.

let Hickson go.

Give Maynor the QO.

Sign Tyreke Evans to a contract of your choice, we have plenty of cap space. He could probably e had for 3 years 25 million.

Draft Otto Porter at 7. Draft Gorgui Dieng at 25.

Lillard/Maynor

Evans/Matthews

Batum/Porter

Aldridge/Claver

Dieng/Leonard

the center is obviously the weak link here. However, the blazers don't need ANY scoring from there, and Dieng is the defensive anchor for the best defensive team in the NCAA. He rebounds well. 6'10, around 245 lbs, and a 7'6(!) wingspan. He is an excellent shot blocker, rebounder, and positional defender. He should add about 15 lbs or so to help out his post defense, but he would be perfect for us.

As for Otto Porter: he will be taking Batums starting spot in a couple years. He is a Batum like- jack of all traded player...with a higher ceiling and better motor.

Tyreke is having a fantastic year, shooting 48% from the field and playing great defense in a bad situation. Sacramento didn't extend him, an hasn't shown much interest in keeping him, and if they want to match, they will have to spend a lot of money on a player more likely to take the QO than to resign a long term contract with his team.

Wes could start, it wouldn't really matter. lillard is at his best when there is another ball-handler on the court. Eric Maynor makes him look like God. Enter Tyreke Evans. A two headed monster backcourt.

With a relatively injury free season and barring any chemistry problems, this team would easily win 50 games.
