Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reported on Twitter Friday that the Brooklyn Nets might be interested in trading for Portland Trail Blazers forward/center J.J. Hickson in advance of Thursday's deadline. He later reported that the Nets splashed cold water on the idea.
Heard the Nets are interested in Portland's JJ Hickson, who can veto a trade. Hickson would lose his Bird Rights if dealt.
Got pushback from the Nets regarding my report that they're interested in Portland forward JJ Hickson.
Hickson spent the first day of his midseason break "shouting out strippers" and posting a lengthy series of "jokes" about women on Twitter that drew criticism from some of his followers.
