Winning: And The Superstitions That Go With It

I was watching TV recently when one of those new Budweiser NFL commercials came on. The one where the guy goes down to his basement to get more beer and every time he comes back up his team has scored, causing him to forgo watching the end of the game to instead go back down to the basement for the good of the team. Click To Watch. Besides being pretty amusing the commercial got me thinking about my own superstitions and habits when it comes to watching Blazer games.

An example of one pattern I have started to notice is that every time I decide to open the BE game thread the blazers start to play poorly. Its an unfortunate situation, but for the good of the team I stayed off the game thread for the pacers game, and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! We played a great game start to finish. Without my popping in and out of the game thread causing our inconsistency we were able to play a 48 minute game. In light of this development I have decided that I will stay away from game-threads tonight as well so that we can play a full game against OKC too.

I can't be the only one with superstitious patterns and habits when it comes to the Blazers. What are some of your habits? Do you have a lucky shirt? Or an unlucky one? Do you watch the game alone? I ask because if the Blazers are going to keep winning they are going to need all the help they can get. If we make a list of all our best traditions and habits we can all help keep each other on our best game. We can remind each other to keep up the hard work, and not let ourselves slip back into the bad habit of slacking off when it comes to our duty as fans.
